The Teledyne FLIR Boson SX8 is the first NDAA-compliant, volume-production uncooled LWIR thermal camera module to combine SXGA (1280 × 1024) resolution with an 8-micron pixel pitch. It delivers four times the resolution of standard VGA modules in a compact, low-SWaP package (31.6 x 31.6 x 19.9 mm, 22.5 g without lens), giving your platform greater situational awareness and longer effective range. US-made and ITAR-free.

Featuring Silent Shutterless NUC (SSN) for uninterrupted imaging with no shutter pauses, a 60 Hz frame rate, and under 2.25 W power draw, the SX8 is built for UAS, counter-UAS, perimeter security, robotics, handheld devices, and ISR platforms.

Available in two sensitivity grades (Industrial ≤35 mK and Professional ≤45 mK) and three lens options (12mm, 18mm, and 24mm). Use the selector to choose the configuration that fits your application. Shorter focal lengths give a wider field of view for close-in awareness, while the 24mm extends detection and recognition range.

All international customers that are ordering any Thermal Imaging Camera will be required to fill out an End Use Statement document before shipment. Once you place your order we will send you an email with the documents.
We can ship 60 Hz cameras to certain other countries but it will require some additional documents before shipment. See Export Control page.
