Disclaimer
Pursuant to U.S. export control regulations, GroupGets LLC requires all customers to follow the applicable requirements governing the export and re-export of controlled items. Use of a License Exception may still require submitting a Consignee Statement. All customers must certify that thermal imaging products will not be diverted to any prohibited destination or used for an unauthorized purpose.

Restrictions that apply to every order
Prohibited end uses. GroupGets cannot export any product for use outside of the United States in the design, development, or production of nuclear weapons, missiles, biological or chemical weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), or missile delivery systems.
Prohibited parties. GroupGets cannot ship if any party to the order is on the Commerce Department's Entity List or Denied Persons List, is affiliated with a foreign military or intelligence service in a non-allied country, or is involved in unauthorized re-export or diversion of U.S.-origin goods. Documentation is reviewed on every order
Every order is reviewed. GroupGets reviews the export documentation for every order before it ships, and requires an updated End Use Statement or export document for each new order, including repeat purchases of the same product to the same destination.
Licenses can carry over. An existing export license can cover repeat orders of the same items to the same parties for the same end use while it still has remaining quantity, value, and validity, and a License Exception STA consignee statement can cover repeat shipments of the same items between the same parties. GroupGets will confirm whether paperwork already on file applies to your new order.
Any new paperwork is sent after you place the order; see the camera categories below for which document applies to your product. Complete it promptly to avoid delaying your shipment.

Framerate-specific restrictions
Beyond the restrictions above, further requirements apply depending on the camera's frame rate and whether it's cooled. Every order, to every destination, requires an export document that GroupGets provides and reviews.
Under 9Hz, uncooled (Slow)
Models: Boson 320/640 (9Hz option), Boson+ 320/640 (9Hz option), Radiometric Boson 320/640 (9Hz option), Radiometric Boson+ 320/640 (9Hz option), FLIR ADK (9Hz option).
Every order requires a 9Hz export document. GroupGets provides the document and reviews it.

A license is required if the camera will be incorporated into a military commodity classified under ECCN 0A919. GroupGets may still require a license at its discretion.

Lepton camera cores
Models: Lepton 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, FS, 3.1R, and UW.
Lepton shares its ECCN with the <9Hz cameras above. No license is required to export it to any destination worldwide except the countries under the blanket U.S. restriction at the top of this page.
International orders require an End Use Statement, which GroupGets emails after the order is placed. It must be completed before shipment. Boards sold without a Lepton core attached (such as bare PureThermal boards) are classified EAR99, which carries no export license requirement at all and will not require an End Use Statement.

Glossary: what these terms mean
ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) — a code under the U.S. Export Administration Regulations that classifies an item for export control purposes and determines what licensing requirements apply.
HTSUS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States) — the code used to classify goods for duty and customs purposes.
EAR (Export Administration Regulations) — the U.S. Commerce Department rules governing the export of dual-use items, administered by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).
STA (Strategic Trade Authorization) — a license exception that allows certain controlled items to ship without an individual export license to specific trusted destinations, subject to conditions.
Consignee Statement — a document the receiving party signs certifying how a controlled item will be used and that it will not be diverted to a prohibited destination or use.
Entity List / Denied Persons List — Commerce Department lists of parties subject to specific license requirements or barred from receiving U.S. exports.
CSL (Consolidated Screening List) — a combined list of parties restricted from receiving certain U.S. exports, searchable at trade.gov.
