Description

The radiometric Lepton 3.5 is the latest addition to FLIR’s micro thermal camera family and brings with it some unexpected surprises such as an increased operating temperature range to +80˚C and a massively extended scene dynamic range from -10˚ to +400˚C in low gain mode. Leverage 19,200 (160x120) pixels worth of calibrated radiometric output from this tiny yet mighty microelectronic masterpiece. This significant technology upgrade over its predecessors maintains the same form-factor as the 1.x to 3.0 cores so existing Lepton-based hardware can be easily updated utilizing the same socket.

Tips for integrating Lepton into a Housing

• Maximum Force
  • < 1Kg (more force will damage the shutter)
• The foam must be cut out so that it does not interfere with the mechanical shutter pins.
• Thickness
  • Depends on the enclosure and spacing, do not exceed 1Kg of force.
