Wave III - Stereo Audio Player / Recorder module
Senior Electron LLC
Wave III is a two channel Stereo Audio Recorder and Player module with FAT File System support.
Imagine you want to make a device that plays different alarm voices or you want to make a music player or an audio recorder. Wave-III is what you need.
The module can record audio on Micro-SD card or play Pre-loaded files with high quality from the Micro-SD card.
Recording and Playing is 2 channel Stereo with 10-bits resolution.
Wave III supports FAT File System so users can call file names to play or create a file/folder to record using AT-Commands.
Communication is through standard UART serial port with Auto-Baud Rate detection system meaning the baud rate can be anything up to 256k.
Low Latency Commands make it suitable for applications that multiple audio files need to be played consecutively.
It can be connected to any kind of microcontroller or device that has a standard serial RX/TX port like Arduino.
Using the module is very easy and hassle free. It has a very good document describing the commands and features.
Audio quality is super high and supports both 8 bit and 16 bit wave audio formats. Footprint is available for Altium Designer.
The module does not need too many components around it. only power, audio in, audio out.
I have designed this module and made all the documentations and sample codes ready even developed a dev kit for that. Now i'm trying to get enough orders to start the manufacturing process.
One module, Datasheet, Sample code in C which can be used for Arduino or anything else.

By purchasing the Dev kit, you'll be able to start working with the module easily without needing to design your own board.
The Dev board has a USB to Uart FTDI chip on board, Audio input and output jack, and jumpers to try different settings.
With this board, you can just easily plug a speaker or headphone to it and use a terminal to send commands to the module to play/record and try its different functionalities.
