Finally, the search for a WiFi-streaming thermal camera is over. After looking far and wide, we developed NetThermal, a tiny, DIY, WiFi-enabled thermal camera, and what's best - you can build one too! Buy the kit and follow this tutorial to start streaming thermal imagery from your drone, use it as a wireless security camera around the house, or for any DIY project that requires a thermal video stream.
Please note that the FLIR Lepton, PTmini Pro, and Onion Omega module are not included but they can be added as optional accessories below if you do not have any of them. All of those items are required to complete this kit.
All required software is freely available and open-source! We use MJPG-streamer and Motion to give you tons of flexibility for any project! Detailed build instructions and a tutorial video will be available on our site on August 9th.

PureThermal Mini Pro is a hackable thermal webcam for the FLIR Lepton (2.x - 3.x) LWIR camera core. It can has multiple connection options such as solder straight to the board or a custom cable using the molex port. The PTMini Pro also features four mounting holes, pads for optional EM shielding, less complex circuitry, and perhaps best of all, USB DFU. This is a development kit ready to be embedded into a production system.
The Omega2+ IoT computer is Onion’s Linux-based, WiFi development board designed to enable makers of all skill levels to build connected hardware applications. Plug in your Omega and it will boot the operating system right away, allowing you to develop in your favorite programming language, create web applications, and interface with a variety of hardware with minimal time and effort spent getting started. Compared to the Omega2, it has double the memory and storage, and also includes a MicroSD card slot.
