It packs a resolution of 80 × 60 pixels into a camera body that is smaller than a dime. Because we are so excited about this module, we collaborated with Pure Engineering to make a small development board to help you quickly start developing your applications on a Pi or Arduino. It is available here from our friends at Tindie: https://www.tindie.com/products/PureEngineering/flir-lepton-thermal-camera-breakout-2/. Pure Engineering also created a homepage and github repo for data sheets and sample code for the Lepton dev board here: http://www.pureengineering.com/projects/lepton. Please note that FLIR will not provide technical support for orders placed here so be sure to use the "github" repo, the Pure Engineering portal, and the campaign discussion tab to connect with other developers for support. We will also try to help, and all Leptons will be under FLIR's standard warranty for all buyers (big and small). For this batch, shipping is FREE to US addresses. Shipping to anywhere else in the world will result in a flat fee of $305 for the Lepton and shipping. We are releasing Leptons in batches so that early adopters can get started quickly on their projects without having to wait for the 1000th backer. Please help get the word out about this campaign and this platform. We at GroupGets seeded this campaign ourselves to give users a good idea of what is possible with the platform, and we hope that users will respond with their own examples.
